SPECIAL 2020 SAILING SEASON

Diamond Jack's Detroit riverboat group tours are a great way to see the Detroit city skyline.

Everything has changed. Please read carefully.

COVID-19 has certainly brought a lot of uncertainty these last few months. However, we’re so fortunate and excited to announce that Diamond Jack will be offering river boat tours once again!

Diamond Jack will be kicking off the season by offering 1 hour riverboat cruises from our Detroit dock to the public. Tours Start July 3rd and run through Sept 6th.

Our Wyandotte dock will not be open this season for public touring. In order to keep our customers and crew safe, we made the difficult decision to operate out of only one dock for this season. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We will provide adequate space for social distancing and our staff will be in proper personal protection equipment. Seating space is available inside the boat and on deck. We also require that all patrons wear face masks while boarding, on the tour and disembarking.

Tours Start July 3rd and run through Sept 6th

  • Friday
  • Saturday
  • Sunday

Tour times are:

  • 1:00 p.m.
  • 2:30 p.m.
  • 4:00 p.m.
  • 5:30 p.m.

You can purchase tickets at the dock on your preferred tour date prior to boarding. You’ll still get to see iconic Detroit sites on your cruise.

This summer will be different, but everyone at Diamond Jack is thrilled to be offering an escape on the river! After being cooped up in quarantine, spending an afternoon on the water with loved ones is the perfect way to recharge and take in the great cities of Detroit and Windsor.

Private Charters

If you had an event that had to be canceled or postponed due to COVID-19, why not book a private charter on a Diamond Jack boat? With spacious decks, ample room to wander inside and out and a fresh river breeze, our boats are a great alternative to a rental hall or restaurant.

We are still offering private charters until October 31, so there’s still plenty of time to book and plan your event! Diamond Jack boats have hosted tons of events, like:

  • Family reunions
  • Weddings
  • Corporate parties
  • Charity events
  • Group outings

Diamond Jack’s offers onboard catering and a bar, so you won’t have to worry about food or beverages. Flexible departure times are also standard on a Diamond Jack private charter.

Featured Tour Site: Belle Isle

Sitting right in the middle of the Detroit River, Belle Isle Park is a 928-acre island filled with history and plenty of fun things to do. It was originally named “Hog Island” by the French settlers who let their livestock graze on the island.

It’s evolved since then–it now houses the Detroit Yacht Club, Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, Dossin Great Lakes Museum, Belle Isle Aquarium and the James Scott Memorial Fountain. Walking paths, beaches and scenic vistas dot the island.

Although it is a state park now, it’s worn many hats. Besides serving as a hog feeding ground, it was also the private estate of General Alexander Macomb, Jr., a prominent War of 1812 general. The City of Detroit planned to start developing the island as a park in the 1880s, using the same urban park designer who designed Central Park in New York City.

From your perch on a Diamond Jack River Boat, you’ll see plenty of sites around the island, like the MacArthur Bridge or the U.S. Coast Guard Station. What better way to spend a summer afternoon than on the water, gazing at the “beautiful island”?
