Private Charters, School Groups and Senior Groups

Many of our private charters, school groups, and senior groups leave from a different dock than listed above for public tours. Please be sure to check with the coordinator of your event for directions to the correct dock.

If you are looking for an exciting and affordable way to entertain, make the Diamond Jack, Diamond Queen or Diamond Belle your own for a few hours or for a day. Our unique nautical setting is perfect for hosting a variety of events including corporate meetings, private dinner parties, weddings, birthdays, family reunions, and much more!

The Diamond Jack was formerly named the "Emerald Isle". The miniship was built in 1955 for the Beaver Island Ferry Company on Lake Michigan. Then, in 1962, became a Mackinac Island Ferry for the Arnold Line Ferry Company until 1982 when she went to Milwaukee as a charter boat. Diamond Jack’s River Tours bought the ship in 1991 and renamed her "Diamond Jack", which is primarily used for our 2 hour narrated Detroit River tours, school groups, group tours, and private charters.

Maximum capacity is 125 passengers, which may decrease depending on size of entertainment and food arrangements.

Dinner Buffet Seating maximum capacity is 70 passengers, which allows ample space for table arrangements and buffet set up. This number may decrease depending on entertainment.

The Diamond Jack is unavailable for Charter during scheduled tour times.

7:00 A.M. - 10:00 P.M. $600.00 per hour

Off season rates

May 1st through May 31st

September 15th through October 31st

Same as Monday through Wednesday rates

There is a minimum two hour charter for all vessels.
Catering and beverages are not included in the charter rates.

The Diamond Belle was originally named the "Mackinac Islander". The miniship was built in 1958 and operated as a Mackinac Island Ferry for the Arnold Line Ferry Company until the 1980’s when she was bought for charter service in Chicago and renamed the "Sir Richard". Diamond Jack’s River Tours bought the ship and renamed her the "Diamond Belle", which is primarily used for our group tours, school groups, special cruises, and private charters.

Maximum capacity is 250 passengers, which may decrease depending on size of entertainment and food arrangements.

Dinner Buffet Seating maximum capacity is 150 passengers, which allows ample space for table arrangements and buffet set up. This number may decrease depending on entertainment.

Diamond Belle charter rates

7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. $1000.00 per hour

4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. $1700.00 per hour

Monday through Wednesday 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. $1000.00 per hour

In 1995, Diamond Jack’s River Tours bought the ship and renamed her the "Diamond Queen", which is primarily used for our group tours, school groups, special cruises, and private charters.

Maximum capacity is 175 passengers, passengers, which may decrease depending
